According to the 1950 Allotment Act you are allowed to keep chickens on your plot. However, our site is open to the public and there are also a number of points you need to consider before making such a big commitment, such as the fact that the water is turned off in the winter but the chickens will still need water.
You MUST contact the committee before going ahead as there is an agreement for you to sign which is for the well being of the chickens and that they do not become a nuisance to your neighbours.
